Support in COVID19 response

FH India has been supporting communities in surveillance and prevention of outbreak in remote rural geographies in nine districts of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. FH India field teams are working with the district health administration in the below listed efforts;

  • conducting home visits for tracking of families where any member of the family has come from outside the state/ district,
  • supporting ASHA and other frontline workers in tracking and community awareness on prevention from COVID19
  • report suspected COVID19 cases to the closest Primary Health Center (PHC)/Community Health Center (CHC)
  • following-up of persons on home quarantine
  • line listing of persons who visited any other country/ state/ country in previous 14 days or who came in contact of COVID19 patients and follow-up
  • reaching-out to vulnerable and disadvantaged communities including persons with disabilities, elderly and women in distress (including pregnant women) and children

FH India is supporting district administration in planning for preparedness and area specific interventions. Around 100 field staff (Behavior Change Communication Facilitators – BCCF) have been issued identity cards and are making home visits for COVID19 activities during lockdown
